This podcast is absolutely wonderful and everything the Beatles fandom need! Good, in depth research; love, respect & compassion for the very real people you’re talking about; a kind but firm way to address the issues the common narrative tends to sweep under the rug; a gentle challenge to this “received narrative”; a sense of humor that made me laugh out loud (I’m definitely keeping “jean jackets” for my own use, if you don’t mind). Thank you for this beautiful work and please keep it coming!

Episode suggestion: analyzing Beatles authors through the years and their biases, narratives, limitations- Including some overdue Lewisohn discourse 🙂 kind of like the work of Erin Weber at the Historian and the Beatles. Keep up the great work! Thank you for what you do.

I absolutely adore your podcast! I’ve listened to all the episodes a couple times now and am so stoked for your next installment (It’s a huge relief to finally hear female voices on these topics). I was wondering if you guys could recommend any solid, unbiased reading material? Also, I was very curious about future Beatle topics you might cover? I intend to be a long, long-term fan. 😉 Thanks for all your hard work, it’s definitely not gone unnoticed.

Hello, and thank you so much for listening to us! 🙂  We are really glad you’re enjoying it!  We’ve been thinking about doing a fun episode about all of our “Beatles Recs” – books, media, and all manner of “Beatles stuff” that we like!  In the mean time, here’s a short list of some of the books we like:

– Paul McCartney: Many Years from Now by Barry Miles

–  McCartney: The Definitive Biography by Chris Salewicz

– Loving John by May Pang

– John by Cynthia Lennon

– The Beatles by Hunter Davies

– Summer of Love by George Martin

– Here, There and Everywhere: My Life Recording the Music of the Beatles by Geoff Emerick

– Miss O’Dell by Chris O’Dell

– Wonderful Tonight by Pattie Boyd

Since this also counts as reading material, I would also strongly recommend every fan read Maureen Cleave’s pieces in the Evening Standard on each Beatle.  She did excellent work profiling each of the guys – it’s a wonderful, contemporaneous source, and great fun to read!

The @truthaboutthebeatlesgirls Tumblr has all the articles! 🙂

John  Paul  George  Ringo

In terms of future topics, we of course have the “If I Ran Away from You” series about the Lennon-McCartney and Beatles breakup which Diana and Phoebe are hard at work on!  And there are many more topics in the pipeline; it seems with the Beatles we can never run out of things to talk about!  We are reluctant to tease too much as we like to surprise people with topics, but we promise to keep the episodes interesting and full of fun and freshness! 🙂

Thank you so much again for listening to us!  We love listener feedback! 🙂 Stay tuned, there are so many good things coming!
